‘Slight of figure and quiet of voice, he hides his face under a cap and keeps a low profile and seems almost invisible.Achievement of having crossed the ‘Bangla Channel’ at Bay of Bengal by swimming from Teknaf to St. Martin’s Island, a lot has changed in the last few years since he has picked up being a visual artist. While this might have been Salman Saeed few years ago, when he was a shy freshman in the visual world, recent about his impressive achievement of picking up the camera and looking at the world through his lens.
Combining his passion for adventure, Saeed has climbed the heights to capture the dazzling beauty of the Himalayas and also the life style of those people. He has plumbed the depths to discover the coral reefs of St Martin’s Island in his underwater photography expedition. In between, he has travelled across the country, snapping places and faces, freezing time. His work adorns the brochures of many international publication with United Nations .Recently he won a reward for his underwater photography and worked on the ‘Revealed:Himalayan Meltdown” for the Discovery Channel .After working with the United Nation Development Programme(UNDP), Bangladesh as a Visual Communicator for three years he is now working as a Producer/Cameraman for the BBC World Service,Dhaka Bureau.
